Types of powders used

• EPOXY

Epoxy powders are used for the powder coating process. They have strong adhesion properties. Also, they provide excellent resistance against chemicals and corrosion. Even so, epoxy powders cannot withstand against over UV exposure, that’s why they have generally used for interior based applications.

•  HYBRID

Hybrid powders are consist of epoxy and polyester resins. Hybrid powders provide excellent mechanical and chemical properties. However, they are not preferred for those applications where weather resistance is critical. Due to better flexibility and smoothness, they are generally used for indoor applications.

•  METALLIC

Metallic coating powders have highly attractive visual attributes with excellent strength and durability. They are an ideal choice for thermal coating applications. Metallic coatings have metallic particles added in their composition for aesthetic purposes.

•  NYLON

Nylon powders are mostly used for protective coatings. They provide strong resistance against damages caused by impact and abrasion. In many cases, primer is used in the coating to get higher performance.

• POLYESTER

Polyester powders provide strong adhesion properties. They have strong weathering characteristics and lower chemical resistance due to which they are used for decorative items.

•  POLYURETHANE

Polyurethane powders are mostly used for decorative and functional exterior applications. They have strong weather ability characteristics and offer excellent anti-corrosion performance.
